Corredor Histórico CAREM, A. C. works to protect, preserve, and present to the public historical and cultural sites on the peninsula of Baja California, México. Based in Tecate, B.C., some of CAREM’s projects include showcasing the peninsula’s historic Missions, preserving and restoring the famous “La Ramona” in El Triunfo, B.C., a library specializing in information about the peninsula and surrounding region, and special projects presenting the culture of the Indigenous people. CAREM has also been instrumental in creating and sustaining the Tecate Community Museum.
